- Wood for framing (I got a few long pieces at Lowes for like $2 a piece!)
- Some type of saw
- Stain or paint
- Nail gun (recommended) or wood glue
- Sand paper or sander
Measure the length of your canvas from top to bottom and make your cuts to match.
Measure from side to side MAKING SURE to include the cuts you just made from the sides of your canvas!
Sand and stain/ paint your wood pieces
Time to attach them! If you don't have a nail gun you can use wood glue, it just takes a while to dry. You can either glue the wood onto the canvas which I have done before, or you can glue the pieces together where they connect. Just be sure you put things against each side to keep everything in place.
If you have a nail gun, great! Nail them together! I put two nails on each side as I attached them together. I didn't nail into the canvas. I found it helpful to do one side at a time against the wall. The benefit of using a nail gun is that it's easy to take the frame off of the canvas if you wanted too.
That is all! Easy peasy 🙂
